I Wish I Had Done More

I have done what I can do.
I have not done more.
My Lord expects no less of me;
He neither expects the more.
When I have done just what I can
And tired of life I be,
He demands that I remain
In service full and free.
He does not demand what I can’t do
Nor does he press me more.
But gives me joy to serve my Lord,
To follow every chore.
And when I’ve done what is to do
And stand upon that Shore,
I will feel so unworthy
That I had not done more.
